Victor A. Oberting III, Esq. is an experienced Estate Planning and Elder Law attorney, and enjoys practicing on Residential Real Estate matters. Victor has a distinguished background in estate planning, elder law, business/corporate, and real estate, derived from his practice of law and personal business experience.

Victor’s strength is his capacity to identify issues and work with clients to achieve results. Victor practiced law with The Herzog Law Firm from 1991 – 1995, then as a solo practitioner for the next ten years. Victor also worked with his family business for twenty years. Victor returned to the practice of law in 2018 and re-joined The Herzog Law Firm in 2019.

Victor is a Trustee and member of the Finance and Governance Committees of the Community Foundation For The Greater Capitol Region. Victor is a Trustee and Chair of the Membership Committee of The Fort Orange Club. Victor has served in similar capacities with other organizations, including The Albany Institute of History & Art and The Albany Rural Cemetery.

Victor received his J.D. from Albany Law School in 1990 and his B.A. from Tufts University in 1985. Victor is a member of The New York State Bar Association Elder Law and Trusts and Estate Law Section. Victor is admitted to practice law in New York State.

Victor practices out of the Albany, Saratoga or Kingston Offices.
